The treatment of which requires much time, because substantial damage of the human body’s largest organ can be life threatening. Fortunately modern medicine has the technology to quickly and efficiently restore damaged skin. Leading burn centers around the world have successfully used cell technology in the process of regeneration of skin after severe burns for years now.

Cell technology is innovative branch of medicine that is based on the unique natural properties of cells from the human body. Through cell technology, medicine can significantly improve the treatment outcomes for more than 85 skin diseases, including malignancies. This technology can also stimulate the healing process and rejuvenation after trauma. Who are the doctors?

This treatment is carried out in the Burn Center of the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital №2. Direct treatment of patients takes place at the "Skin Bank, Treatment of Burns" in Kyiv city center of thermal injuries and plastic surgery, located at Krakivska 13 street.
This is one of the major burn centers in Ukraine. The institution is managed by the Chief of Medicine, Anatoliy Voronin.

Anatoliy Voronin is a doctor of the highest calibre. He has more than 10-years experience as a burns expert and is considered one of the best specialists in the country.

Who provides the cellular material?

The biotechnology treatment is provided by Ilaya – a medical company that collects, stores and prepares cellular material for transplantation. The lab and cryo-depositories of Ilaya are equipped with high-tech equipment from the leading manufacturers.

Ilaya follows regulatory and supervisory standards like good manufacturing practices (GMP) and good tissue practices (GTP).
The team of biotechnologists at Ilaya, is a team of specialists and scientists with many collective years of experience in the field of cell technology.

Where the money goes?

"Skin Bank" is a social project that aims to create a bank of cells for the treatment of burns victims due to the fighting in eastern Ukraine. Now the permanent reserve bank of skin in Ilaya consists of 2.4 billion cells that can be used to restore 24 square meters of skin. It is approximately 25 victims with burns to up to 40% of the body.

  Due to help of the sponsors we were able to raise money required for cultivation of 2.4 billion cells. As the number of wounded increases we commence fundraising for another 2.6 billion cells. The project budget increased by UAH 1000 000.

• 17:4922January2015

  Due to the rapid growth of the dollar to hryvnia exchange rate, the project budget has been increased by UAH 260 000. Unfortunately, the necessary reagents for the production and cultivation of bio material ordered abroad at the exchange rate of 21.5 UAH for 1 USD.
