Volunteers of The People’s Project developed a new type of a turret for Ukrainian defenders at the front line. Such an improved construction of a heavy machine gun is designed to defeat enemy’s armored vehicles, and has a very high accuracy. The main benefit of the turret is a remote control system, which allows defender, who uses it, to cut on the risk for his life, and control the fire out of a safe shelter.
Previous version of the system already established itself at the forefront in the best way possible. The volunteer, engineer and a man of a great talent Uncle Vanya (Ivan Savelyev) told us so.
An exacerbation of combat operations occurred at Svitlodarsk Arc at the end of 2016. Before this, Uncle Vanya, along with volunteers, delivered the 1st Battalion of 54th Brigade (which defends Ukrainian land there) 3 systems for the most powerful machine gun Ukrainian Army posses. A very comfortable system was developed for Ukrainian defenders especially. Those systems are equipped with wheels, guidance systems and boxes for ammunition. And at some point those systems played a decisive role in the battle. During the first 24 hours of a fight machine guns have not stopped for a moment.
At the hot spot near Avdiyivka also successfully operates a system for a DShK machine gun of Uncle Vanya’s production. The number of such systems created and transported to the front line is difficult for Uncle Vanya even to calculate.
The military use a thousandth concept to determine an accuracy. Uncle’s Vanya turret has a precision of guidance of 1/18 thousandth. This is a very high precision. It is even excessive, taking the fact that 1 thousandth is considered normal.
System shoots at a distance of 4 km. A turret can be installed in disguise. Even if a target is not visible, the precise coordinates of a target are the only requirement. A control unit will calculate the necessary guidance values itself, and a machine gun will reach the target.
The main purpose of this machine gun is a solution against armored vehicles of the enemy. If a guidance values are correct the gun can hit hatches, observation appliances or a hand guard block. So, even a tank can be disabled this way eventually.
The machine gun can be even transported in a state of a combat efficiency. In any situation system can be set, and a heavy machine gun will open fire in 2 seconds.
“Its fine. Its allright”, – is a response of the defenders about the turret in 95% of cases. It is not surprising. All manufacturers of a turret went through the front line battles. They understand what is the machine, and what it supposed to do.
Currently, volunteers with a new developers team actively work on an improved model of a turret in terms of The Sabre Remote Weapon Station Project.
