Wounded soldier from the 30th Brigade, Volodymyr, on April 26 underwent his first surgery as part of the Bioengineering Rehabilitation for Wounded project.
Doctors affixed to his arm a device which will progressively move the fragments of bone to their natural position.
They also took cellular material samples for use in the restoration of Volodymyr’s bone.
Now, Volodymyr is preparing for discharge.
We remind you the soldier was wounded near Savur-Mohyla. As a result of bullet wounds Volodymyr’s can neither band or straighten his left arm his hand is also locked in a bent position. Now he can not use it. In the public hospitals his injuries could be treated beyond the extent of the condition he is in now. The only chance the fighter has to return to a normal, healthy life without physical limitation is cellular technology.
While he had to spend Orthodox Easter in the clinic. Volodymyr will return home with renewed hope for recovery, especially now the first step is complete.
Now Volodymyr needs to recover as quickly as possible after this surgery and return to the clinic for the second phase of treatment.
Fundraising for the treatment of Volodymyr and other wounded soldiers enrolled in the project continues. Let’s support Ukraine’s defenders together.
