Soldier with the “Kievan Rus” 11th battalion, Viktor, underwent plastic surgery on October 21 on his wounded leg, which had been affected by purulent processes. The purpose of this operation was the excision of an old flap that was transplanted before the treatment of the fighter in the Bioengineering Rehabilitation for Wounded project.
Now, the old flap has been replaced, and the fighter’s wound is healing.
We wish Viktor a quick recovery and look forward to the next stage of treatment!
In the summer of 2014, Viktor volunteered to fight in the East. He said he always wanted to take part in creating the history of a new Ukraine. Almost a year later, on May 14, 2015 near the “Butovka” mine near Donetsk Airport he and other soldiers came under separatist fire and he was injured. A shell exploded near Viktor and the fighter received numerous injuries to the left side of his body, including traumatic amputation of his arm and fractures to his hip and shin.
