For a long time, almost since the first days of the war, we are collecting funds for the maintenance of the military vehicles. The money you donated to The Spare Parts and Supplies Project and The Spare Parts and Supplies 2 Project we use to purchase all the necessary military equipment and to maintain the broken ones.
This time the project was aimed to restore the old APC-80 (Armored Personnel Carrier) of the Mykolayiv paratroopers of the 79th Airborne Assault Brigade. The APC went down the assembly line in distant 1989, and help the military to get through the fire and water. The vehicle was used in Donetsk airport during the hottest combat operation. Now it is used to perform operational tasks in the place of the dislocation of the troops. But it got broken during the usual training exercises. One of the piston rods got shattered.
To return the APC to life the volunteers of The People’s Project spent about 7,000 UAH. For the exact amount you can always check yourself, because we always publish the relevant financial statements on the site. The experienced handyman repaired the cylinder block, replaced all necessary parts and APC’s engine is ready to give all it’s horse powers to the vehicle.
