War is a scary thing which nevertheless is to be played by certain rules. In particular, one should not shoot at civilians and keep to the agreements as well as to more or less human ways of combating etc. Still this can be applied only to the opponent who has at least minimal comprehension of dignity or honor. Still, there are two different worlds here.
Lately, the terrorists’ artillery shelled residential area once again. Mortars of a large caliber of 120mm prohibited by the Minsk agreements, have been targeted at civilians’ homes in the village of Krasnohorivka. A woman has suffered in shelling: luckily, she sustained only light injuries caused by glass shards from a broken window. The injured woman was immediately provided with medical aid. It is not for the first time when the terrorists used mortars and guns of prohibited calibers in their shelling of residential areas inhabited by peaceful civilians.
The artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine always strictly keeps to the provisions of the Minsk agreements and never opens fire first. Yet, under the same agreements, our artillerists are always ready to respond to attacks, but only on condition that no civilians are hurt. Fighters of certain artillery units have constantly been on combat duty at the contact line, watching for possible terroristic fire activities and protecting lives of Ukrainians day and night. Again, everything goes on condition of complete security for the civilians on either part of the front line.
To make our artillery’s response and, correspondingly, the payback for the terrorists immediate, accurate and inescapable, we keep supporting individual artillery units and supplying them with necessary equipment. Earlier, we bought and sent them command elements of the Kropyva battle system. This is the gear able of providing our military with maximum co-ordination of the combat units and artillery force, to ensure their fast and maximally effective joint response to any hostile attack in case our troops will require artillery support.
At the moment, we have been rising funds for special blocks allowing modernization of the hostile fire positions detection system designed to figure out the terrorists’ firing points faster and with more precision. Among the requests made by our military, we also got an inquiry from our scouts for several portable elements of the entire structure, namely the tablets with Kropyva system pre-installed on them. These will allow to mark the terrorists’ positions with high accuracy and speed, for our artillerists to foresee where they may need to fire back soon.
Dear friends, the war is on, and we seek your assistance. So far, we cannot rely upon the governmental support in this matter as this type of equipment is among the systems and elements that will require prolonged and cumbersome paper work to process the purchases officially. While the need of these is rather urgent. Well, the final total amounts to raise look quite big, still as practice shows, even a few hryvnias of affordable donations made by each of us can help solve these issues. So please let us not forget that our Army is the only thing that keeps us in the state of rickety peace and separates from the horde of terroristic occupiers.
