Only a few days earlier the news about the patient of The Bioengineering Rehabilitation for Wounded Project Oleg was posted. Just recently Oleg received one of the final stage surgery. The doctors of The Ilaya Clinic removed the fixing plate that held the bone matrix and the new piece of humerus together.
The doctor of the traumatology department, a head of one of the children’s hospitals turned with the question in the comments to the post about Oleg. This is not the first request like that. Many medical professionals show great interest in the innovative methods of the bone tissue regeneration. It should be taken to the account that Oleg is one of the most difficult patients of The Bioengineering Rehabilitation for Wounded Project. Before the treatment of the severe bone defects with the help of The Bioengineering Rehabilitation for Wounded Project, he had some extremely serious injuries treated elsewhere. Exhausted with the previous treatment Oleg was recovering much slower than the other patients. But today the results totally meet expectations of the doctors. The next step is the similar surgery for the Oleg’s left femur. Volodymyr Oksymets personally supervise Oleg’s case. According to the doctors message, the fixing plate of the femur will be removed after the New Year, when Oleg will recover after the previous surgeries.

A year ago Oleg was torn, broken and confined to a wheelchair. No one could promise that he will survive. And now there are good chances for the full recovery. A lot of effort, resources and sincere emotions were invested to bring Oleg his normal life back.
