Organizers of the social project Skin Bank. Burns treatment have decided to increase the cell reserve up to 5 billion cells. This was made possible through the large sums of money donated by supporters of the project.
In particular, the charitable contribution by pharmaceutical company “Darnitsa” totaling 800,000 UAH, given during a press conference with organizers and partners of the project on February 18, allowed for the expansion of the stockpile from 2.4 to 5 billion cells. Once all the cells of the reserve are grown it well be sufficient to restore 50 square meters of skin within short period of time, and can provide treatment for more than 50 with burns to 40% or more of the body.
In the near future the social project Skin Bank. Burns treatment. plans to attract more donors and intensify cooperation with government health facilities for the quick selection of patients who need rehabilitation after severe burns.
