Dear friends, we spent the whole day on logistics, and finally got a minute to talk to you. Finally we have received the main batch of safety gear for Kyiv. Checked the stuff out and divided it into smaller portions: tomorrow, we are going to distribute the gear among the hospitals after which we’ll publish corresponding reports. So far, we will show you the equipment we have managed to find, accumulate and buy during the first stage of the Second Front project.
This heap which is slightly resembling the famous painting Apotheosis of War, are respirators: there are three hundred of them here. Maybe they look not that dramatic in the photo, still quite handy if to examine them at a closer distance. They feature a protective contour finished with rubber and a special adjustable brace to match the form of a human nose. These respirators belong to a high class of protection. We are going to send 50 of these to a maternity house and distribute another 250 among two basic hospitals.
This massif is made of eye-glasses, the best presented on the market; quite a good model in itself. These are to be distributed among the two base hospitals as well; similarly, a smaller quantity will be sent to the same maternity house.
A closer look upon the glasses. This pair is for the maternity house.
This package consists of a hundred medical masks. These are made of a few layers of fabrics and able of moderate protection against direct sneezing or coughing of infected people. In contrast to spunbond which is used in manufacturing disposable masks, these old-school fabric masks can withstand a few cycles of disinfection. Medics will use them for a change.
Also, we got medical suits, but you have already seen them. There are 200 of these, which are to be evenly shared among the two basic hospitals of our capital city. Apart from this, today we’ve sent a batch of respirators to Dnipro, for medics of their emergency substation. Also, we’ve found nice respirators with transparent face shields.
Currently, safety coats, or suits, remain the prime necessity. That’s why we continue to seek for essentials and purchase the stuff in accordance with doctors’ requests, as well as accumulate money for these purchases as they are rather costly, while the demand only grows.
Dear friends, please join in immediately, before the situation gets critical: today we still can save our doctors against the rapid exponential contagion spread. As our medics are those who will save our own lives soon.
