Recently, at the request of the crew of Netishyn, we purchased for them an Icom IC-M506 onboard marine VHF radio. This radio is designed specifically for use on marine vessels, and features a water-resistant case and is equipped with an AIS (automatic identification system) system used in the shipping industry to identify ships, their size, speed and provides automatic exchange of data between positions in order to avoid collisions as well as identification of vessels coming into coastal areas. The problem of Ukrainian military communication is acute and we try whenever possible to help resolve this issue. A more detailed report we will provide after the radio has been delivered.
