Dear friends, funny enough, but this news is more about entertaining than informing as there are more wonderful emotions than facts in it. What we are talking about: lately, a prominent still not too much public event has taken place. One of the most capable and powerful units of the Ukrainian Navy has carried out their professional exercises. Aside from completing their military drills, the servicemen of the 73rd Naval Special Purpose Center also published a set of pictures taken in the course of the event. Actually, it is always good to see our brave fighters who belong to the elite of elites, true Navy SEALS and combat divers, in action.
On our part, we feel quite satisfied as well: a while ago, together with Serhiy Prytula and other nice patriotic people, we jointly supported the unit with the equipment they needed. Moreover, despite the fact we had already supplied them with essentials that constitute the minimum required gear, our coaches and instructors of the School of Military Divers actively continue their co-operation with the Center’s fighters offering them regular courses of professional training. This is just right when unique specialists not only exchange their experience but also work for the same goal, enhancing our country’s defensive capacity.
We are going to dwell on the details of the drills and the rest of interesting facts in a few days’ time: one of the School of Military Divers’ instructors who witnessed the exercises, agreed to share his view and tell us lots of exciting details related to his colleagues’ drills. In our turn, we take the opportunity to remind you of the strict reality: it is now time to support the fighters of the special diving squad engaged in water rescue activities. Officially, their task is to save the lives of pilots who crash-landed onto the water surface. Still actually they are continuously engaged in other types of mission that include rescuing people who got in various disastrous situations on open waters.
We believe that those who are genuinely devoted to their rescue mission, deserve to get support of everyone able of providing it. Still the situation is far from being satisfactory: unfortunately, their basic equipment includes only scarce and shabby stuff while reliable up-to-date gear allowing to work with minimum operational comfort and due personal safety, remains their unachievable goal so far.
Actually, we should not expect any moves on the part of either the state or material provision services as there seems too little hope for their support in this case. That’s why we have to ask you for your assistance once again: as we know for our experience, only our combined efforts along with your contributions may allow us to accumulate the necessary amount (which is comparatively small, by the way) to satisfy the rescuers’ modest still essential needs.
