Western countries have to provide Ukraine with more arms, for it to effectively resist Russian aggression, U.S. former ambassador to Ukraine, Mr. John Herbst, said at the meeting of the standing Committee of the Parliament of Canada on National Defense. According to Mr. Herbst, it should be not only about Javelins but also more powerful and serious armament. “It will benefit both Ukraine and the West to support Ukraine with weapons, in particular, surface to surface and other guided missiles to prevent possible Russian air assault operations”, – the former ambassador said while mentioning Russia’s latest escalation in the Azov region of Ukraine.
Laser counter-sniper system that has been actively deployed in the front line by Russians. It is quite a threat for our snipers
It should be mentioned that similar initiatives concerning supplying arms usually start with public statements and debates. Hopefully, our foreign friends and partners will not leave us to face the aggressor on our own. Still we must take care of our own security by ourselves as well. Hence, may we remind you that within the I Am Sniper initiative, People’s Project volunteer center raises funds and buys necessary equipment for the units holding defense in the forefront. Right at the moment, accumulation of funds for purchase of digital signal filtration scopes is on.
These devices are aimed to preserve the eyesight of our snipers from enemy counter-snipers armed with laser systems that hit and burn the retina of a shooter immediately through his scope. The amount we need to raise, is rather not too big, still it solves the essential task, to save Ukrainian snipers’ eyesight which makes perhaps his main working tool. We urge you to join the initiative and support the project as much as you can. Just imagine: in the middle of a sniper duel, it can be your personal contribution able to work out and determine the outcome of it!
