Ivan, a fighter with the 24th mechanized brigade, is preparing to undergo major surgery. This will be third and main stage of his treatment. Ivan is being treated for consequences of a shrapnel wound to his leg – nonunion fractures (for 8 months) and scar-ulcerative defect of soft tissues.
During the previous stages of treatment Ivan underwent sampling of cellular material, dismantling of the external fixation apparatus, and plastic surgery on scar tissue.
