The enemy is using tanks and assault guns. Zaitseve village in the Donetsk region is the epicenter of the fighting, but Ujraine’s Armed Forces are repelling enemy attacks. This was told to People’s Project coordinator Maksim Ryabakon by Ukrainian military who are on the scene. “We were called from Zaitseve. There, there is fighting everyday. Some is heavy, some not very heavy, but it’s happening daily”, he said.

According to Ryabakon, the military report on militants in the area breaching the Minsk agreements with prohibited weapons, including tanks and assault guns. The separatist positions are referred to as “bearded” (natives of the Caucasus – ed). The militants are using tanks and assault guns, to dislodge Ukrainian positions.
“But our military defends against the militants’ attacks and inflict serious losses,” according to one volunteer.

He also said that in Zaitseve, the distance between the positions of Ukraine’s Armed Forces and the militants is, on average, only 500 meters, and in some places – is reduced to 200 meters.
People’s Project volunteers provide help to the 53rd Brigade, which is stationed in the Zaitseve area.
This assistance has been in the delivery of high-tech devices worth almost 847 000,00 UAH volunteers made a week ago to Avdiivka.
The gear included optical sights, thermal imaging sights, and night vision sights, all to meet the immediate needs of the 53rd Brigade, whose soldiers are Zaitsev.
Now volunteers continue to collect funds for the boys od the 53rd Brigade as part of the project Rapid Response.
