Tomorrow for Andriy, a wounded volunteer from the 72nd Brigade, is a very important day. Perhaps most important in the past few months. His surgery is scheduled for Friday during which doctors at ilaya Medical Company in Kyiv will apply their unique biotechnology. This operation is an opportunity for Andriy to return to his normal life without pain and physical limitations.
Andriy was wounded in July 2014. Before he was enrolled in the Bioengineering Rehabilitation for Wounded project, the soldier’s leg was treated for six months with traditional methods in public health facilities. However, in the case of Andriy, they were ineffective. Biotechnology offers the only chance for Andriy, and many other wounded fighters to avoid disability or amputation.
Now, Andriy is undergoing examination and preoperative preparations. We sincerely wish him good luck and help everything goes as well as possible.
Remember that fundraising for the treatment of Andriy continues. Also as of today, we several more men waiting to start treatment. Our project desperately needs support. We ask all who can to support the project.
