The last couple of days turned to be almost entirely dedicated to snipers: we happened to talk to a few military specialists serving in the Special Forces units and engaged in active sniper and counter sniper work in the frontlines. Still, due to high secrecy we are not allowed to share any details with anyone, so there will be no information about them. The guys cruise along the front line periodically emerging in the hottest spots, but all their achievements and the results of their work make a military secret that is better to get totally omitted so far. The only thing we can mention is that we have seen some video fragments testifying their resultiveness, with our own eyes. Actually, for a few recent weeks the guys have scored quite impressive numbers.
It is worth mentioning that even today the effectiveness of sniper work depends on availability of the necessary gear, and often in amounts that exceed the government budgeted supplies. To ensure their effective and relatively comfortable work, the snipers prepared a list of necessary devices they request, and our task obviously lies in satisfying their demands as soon as possible. All the gear will go directly to the combat snipers who actively oppose the enemy: not a single item is going to get stored for some other day in a dusty warehouse..Our fighters are going to use the requested devices immediately.
They need a few simple beds for minimum comfort. These are elementary compact folding beds of a common army model, designed to have a short nap, restore and not to freeze the fillet parts on the cold ground.
Hence, the current needs include field folding beds. Sometimes, they have to spend a few days in a row on their observation positions, so the fighters need a place where they can restore. It is not for the first time that specops servicemen and snipers ask us to provide them with this kind of beds: actually, this model proved highly popular due to its comfortability combined with portability. It helps keep their kidneys healthy by avoiding sleeping in army sleeping bags, as well as get rid of heavy and cumbersome striped cotton army mattresses. No, seriously. At the moment the guys requested eight beds, and their average market price makes about three thousand hryvnias each.
This is a kind of a periscope designed to complement the optics range and enable taking full advantage of the ballistic trajectory of a bullet with a powerful charge
The fighters also need an optical nozzle: this demand was declared earlier in spring, and as of today it remains essential. It is a special optical device that allows to use the sights and deploy the rifle’s full capacity at extreme distances. For the enemy to remain unclear about the direction of the fire. Hence we have got skilled snipers, a good rifle and optics, but we still lack such a nozzle. Actually, its price comes gradually up, so at present the necessary sum makes about 70 thousand hryvnias.
Batteries have always constituted the aerial scouts’ primary demand. It is a highly consumable resource replenishment of which always makes the guys happy like kids
Also, they need accumulator kits for their optical sights and quadcopters, as these are two branches that work shoulder to shoulder. This costs about 15 thousand hryvnias total. Besides, the aero scouts requested a powerful notebook to be able to work with high definition video and make a detailed map of potential targets. The price of a proper model of gear is about 10-15 thousand hryvnias.
Such weather stations have always been highly estimated by snipers: we are sending these not for the first time. And even not for the tenth time in a row
Another unit needs weather stations. Ideally, they would love to get two of these, still at least one would be nice: it allows to get a detailed report on current weather conditions and not to rely upon a fighter’s intuition. The weather station has to be equipped with a bluetooth module which transmits the meteorological data immediately to a ballistic calculator. This is way more convenient while preparing for an accurate shot. Each station costs about 17 thousand.
Now we have to satisfy all these needs at the expense of the I Am Sniper project, therefore its reserves need to get replenished. Dear friends, that is why we urge you to join in and participate in this initiative as the war is still on, and we support the units that actively oppose the occupier in the forefront. Every kind of assistance would be appropriate and welcome: you may either make an affordable donation into the project or at least spread the word via social media etc. Come join in!
