Three Ukrainian soldiers killed, nine sustained injuries of varying severity in mortar blast amid live firing exercise at Rivne general military training ground #233. A mortar reportedly blew up at 05:55 Kyiv time amid military drills. The information was confirmed by the West press office of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense.
The Commander of the Ground Forces of the AFU has decided to suspend the drills. “An official investigation has started to determine possible causes behind the incident,” – the official statement reads.
The commandment and military personnel expressed their condolences to the families of the servicemen killed in the accident.
