The Bioengineering Rehabilitation for Wounded project has taken on a new patient. Mykyta, the 28-year-old sought help for an injury he received in the battle for Debaltseve. Mykyta’s treatments is worth 298 000 UAH and he asked The People’s Project to assist but that was not possible until Mykyta was taken under the the wing of the charity. The full cost of treatment for the fighter under the project was financed by the charitable foundation Just Helping. The fund has transferred to the account 170 000 UAH, the second part of the cost will come later. These funds will pay for the project Bioengineering Rehabilitation for Wounded in the clinic ilaya, where Mykyta will undergo treatment for his severely damaged knee. This is not the first time that the charitable foundation Just Helping has supported the various charitable projects of The People’s Project. However, this is the first time that it helps fund under the “Biotech” initiative and when the fund will be paid the cost of the full course of treatment of the seriously wounded soldier.
Mykyta went to war as a volunteer, at home, he left his wife, two children and parents who themselves have disabilities and need care. Mykyta was injured in a fire-fight as he helped defend Debaltseve with the 128 brigade. When the enemy started firing, he rushed to pull out of the line of fire wounded colleagues. Consequently, enemy shrapnel seriously wounded Mykyta’s legs.
Two years and eight operations in public hospitals failed. While his major injuries were treated, doctors could not restore the cruciate ligament of his right knee. Moreover, after unsuccessful operations his knee condition only worsened – a bone transplant failed in attempt to restore the tendon and bone fragments. In the long term his knee was simply destroyed, and almost immediately when Mykyta walks he experiences pain, and the joint barely works. Now Mykyta seeks first to cure the broken bones using cellular technology, and only later will he undergo a procedure to restore the damaged tendons that form a cross connection in the course of complex plastic surgery.
We sincerely looking forward to any form of assistance not only from individuals but also from the entire enterprises. Your company can join any of our projects as a patron. We, in turn, always sincerely and gratefully inform our readers of the good of our benefactors. Mostly we are helping guys that have been virtually abandoned by the state they served.
Mykyta – will not be the last patient in the project, in addition, we need the help of patrons and benefactors until everyone we can ensure treatment gets it. Our participation is needed by other soldiers, the war continues, and state medicine offers very limited possibilities in the treatment of such severe injuries. Treatment with the help of advanced technology the state does not fund. This means the condition of such wounded guys only worsens – at best a life of disability, or even the possibility of amputations and prostheses. Of course maintaining their limbs is always better than the best prosthesis. Your donations for the project Bioengineering Rehabilitation for Wounded enable us to return the boys to a normal life through innovative treatments.
