We are going to talk about a very specific unit, that uses a special weapon. The activity of the unit is top-secret, so we have no right to say where and what they do at the front line.
Only thing we can say is that terrorists fly away screaming or in pieces out of their fortified positions when this unit fulfills its aim. And this unit we were honored to help. For effective work we transferred them a laser range-finder Newcon LRV 6,000 that works at distances up to 6 km. Also, we transferred night vision monocular Armasight Sirius IDI MG. On top of that we transferred a special attachment, that allows to wear the night vision device on head and keep hands free. Total cost of over 150,000 UAH we paid at the expense of people’s donations and immediately, as usual, added the purchase to the project’s report.
Soldiers of a unit added a letter to photos. They wrote: “The range-finder is simply wonderful. It switches in between the main range distances from 2,400 to 3,400 meters instantly and without a tripod, which was missing to work effectively.”
“Just recently we measured without a tripod a distance of 4,600 meters to the enemy’s observation post. The device works flawlessly. And in at least one case it became especially useful with its speed and accuracy. It made it possible to significantly adjust the preliminary data, we received before. Thanks to it we effectively used the spot, which we refused to use previously. So our thanks measures in specific results.”
Rangefinder is a precise and effective device. It measures a distances within a few meters precision to objects, that are barely visible on the horizon, covered in smog, snow or fog. On top of that, range-finder displays a speed of moving objects, an angle of inclination, and have a built-in compass. We are sure, that this military unit will make a good use of it.
