Can you see the sniper? Of course you can, because he is not hiding yet. And it’s not just a sniper, but a great shooter with a good gun, equipped with modern thermal sight. This is the same thermal sight we wrote about just recently.
Dramatic story served a reason for a transfer of the sight. During the intense battle enemies injured a young sniper from a unit of special purpose, which keeps defense near Avdiyivka. A rifle saved life of a soldier. An enemy’s bullet hit the sight, broke bracing and hit a soldier.
He was wounded, but stayed alive. We promised the soldier, that when he will recover and return to the front line, we will supply him with a good new equipment. Thankful snipers send us a few photos from the front. The new thermal sight is tailored to one of the best TS.M rifles in a division for use with a powerful Lapua Magnum 338 cartridges. If there is a necessity the sight can be used on any sniper riffle up to a 50th caliber. Snipers, who use this sight in combat missions continue to successfully defend Ukraine from invaders.
Most snipers say, that sight is extremely convenient, if not the best they had to work with. Automatic modes of aiming can be switched just with the wave of a finger. And combat snipers are those, who can truly appreciate valuable seconds. In a radius of two kilometers enemy has no chance. Several pre-installed programs calculate the correction for the munition, and take into account weather and other conditions, and can be changed in just a moment.
The news are delightful. From the first days at the front line the whole group of near thirty snipers was equipped with only one night vision device, and no imagers at all. Thanks to people’s donations to The Rapid Response Project and organizational efforts of The People’s Project, snipers have three thermal imaging sights Pulsar Apex XD75, some ordinary good optical sights, and even a brand new Archer TSA-9.
It is really comfortable and easy for a sniper to work with the thermal sight. This device clearly displays any enemy, living him no chance to escape unnoticed. The imager can be deceived only with the thermal blanket, which is to shiny and noisy to use for that particular reason.
However, The Rapid Response Project, with help of which we buy necessary equipment for the units at the front line, is far from being accomplished. A list of needs constantly supplements.
