Toys and candies are the gifts, that make children sincerely happy. Better than this nowadays can be only a brand new tablet, computer or a smartphone. Volodymyr from Cherkasy is 11 years old. For his birthday he got a brand new tablet. But not for himself. He presented it to the marines, that defend Mariupol against the enemy invasion. Volodymyr was collecting money with help of his parents for a long time. But instead of spending it on gifts and celebration, he choose to buy the tablet for the marines.

It can’t be said that the boy was left without a celebration at all. For his birthday Serg Marko invited Volodymyr and his parents to Kyiv, where he became the honored guest of The Army FM Radio. One more surprise was waiting for him in here. The Commander of the Order For Courage, the legend of the 79th Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Airmobile Forces of Ukraine Pavlo Chaika congratulated the boy personally. Volodymyr attached the personal letter to his gift for the military, and decorated it with lovely pictures. The letter is addressed to the soldiers. Here is the quote: “You have already gave me the best present. It is a peaceful sky over our home. I wish my present to help you serve well and get back home safe.”

We are grateful for the Volodymyr’s present, and will transport it along with the other tablets to the marines at the front line. Amazing example of the young Volodymyr should inspire us to support Ukrainian soldiers at the front line the way we can. Each dollar of the donations to The Mariupol Defenders Project is a significant contribution to the defense of Ukraine. Joint the project to save life and help the soldiers to protect the border.
