The volunteers of The People’s Project transferred to the front line the brand new thermal imaging sight 250,000 UAH worth. The sight model is the Archer TSA-9 and it has a wonderful history from the first days.
The sight itself has an outstanding “birth” date – November 21st of 2016. It is the anniversary of the Ukrainian Euromaidan. And the history of it’s glorious “life” begins from the first days. The story about the transfer is told by the head of The People’s Project Maxym Ryabokon.
“On one of the hottest spots of the front line, where enemies allow themselves to be impudent, one of our fighter served. A good sniper with an excellent reputation, real sharp-shooter. Even though he had not the best rifle, but he performed tasks on par with the greatest snipers. One day he got into trouble. In response of his talented attack he was covered with powerful fire. The bullet hit the sight, and rebounded into the guy.
Ruined scrap metal that saved guy’s life
The guy was lucky, because the sight took the brunt on itself. However, the guy, as well as an optics, were temporary out of action. We talked with this nice guy, and came to the agreement. That is why our brand new wonderful sight already gone to the front to serve well in practice. A wounded guy recovered and returned to the front line. Now he has a good new rifle with a decent optics.”
New thermal sight 250,000 UAH worth was purchased by the sponsors’ money. This is a sign of a true trust, that is only possible thanks to the excellent reputation and transparent reporting system introduced from the first days by The People’s Project. This allows Ukraine’s army to equip units in the forefront with the latest technology. But this does not mean that Ukrainian Army reached the ultimate goal. A lot of guys on the front line need such kind of support.
