To our project we are constantly adding new wounded soldiers. Based primarily on your support and help, we hope to help prevent disability and amputations in as many wounded soldiers as possible. Oleksiy and Volodymyr recently joined the Bioengineering Rehabilitation for Wounded project and doctors have already started the process of treatment.
Oleksiy – from the volunteer battalion “Chernihiv”, has passed his first stage of treatment. Last week, doctors did sampling of and surgery with cellular material to his improperly spliced tibia bone. It is possible to fix the bone in a physiological position. In June, he will start the next stage of treatment.
Oleksiy was wounded near the village of Stanytsa in the Luhansk region in February 2015, during a reconnaissance mission with a comrade he hit a mine. The soldier was wounded in both legs. Traditional treatments have not helped. At present Oleksiy cannot freely move. His leg is crooked leg due to improperly matched bone. If he is not provided the necessary assistance to the situation will deteriorate and lead to disability. Now fundraising for the further treatment of Oleksiy continues. He needs your support.
Unlike Oleksiy, Volodymyr has just entered his first stage of treatment. Yesterday, the fighter from the 30th Brigade underwent his first surgery under the project Bioengineering Rehabilitation for Wounded.
Volodymyr was wounded near Savur-Mohyla. As a result of bullet wounds, Volodymyr can neither bend nor straighten the arm. His hand is actually fixed in a bent position and because of that, he can not use it.Public hospitals and clinics do not offer it, but his only chance is cellular technology.
Raising funds for his treatment continues. Let’s help Volodymyr return to a normal, healthy life without physical limitation.
