Volunteer with the “Tornado” Battalion Oleksandr has been admitted to ilaya Medical Center to begin the main phase of the treatment of his nonunion fractures of the tibia. Now he is undergoing tests and preoperative preparation and his surgery with the use of cellular technology is scheduled for tomorrow.
Remember Oleksandr is being treated for the effects of a gunshot wound he received in the village of Schastya in January 2015. He has a significant defect in the tibia – up to 80 cc and osteomyelitis in the bone. Without the use of cellular technology, the soldier’s left leg would be non-functioning. At 28, he could become invalided. Fortunately, thanks to your support, this unique technology and the ability of the doctors treating him he has a chance for a healthy future. Currently, the money needed for Oleksandr’s treatment has been collected. However, many other men in the project Bioengineering Rehabilitation for Wounded are awaiting their chance for recovery. Together we can help them.
