Most doctors could see no other way of treating Vitaliy’s leg injuries than amputation. However, that view was not one shared by the doctors at ilaya Medical Center! In the past two weeks they have made inroads in the battle to save Vitaliy’s legs. The fighter from the 93rd Mobile Brigade is preparing to return home to Kherson, where he will be treated to hero’s welcome by his wife, children and friends.
Vitaliy’s high morale has been very helpful in his recovery process. While at home, he will gradually regulate the external braces on his legs, as prescribed by a doctor – this is important preparation for the next stage.
Before that stage however our hero needs to rest and recuperate. We wish Vitaliy a speedy recovery!
